Recently our H3 ITGS students have had the opportunity to get to grips with Adobe After Effects to create a short explainer video about Creative Commons licensing and the concept of “copyleft”. Despite only two lessons of introduction to the program, our students absolutely bowled us over with the quality and execution of their ideas, with a wide variety of different approaches being taken.
Two real highlights are shown below, the first by Dean Tsai is a Kurzgesagt-inspired explainer video, using all self-created graphics to take us on a narrative journey of Creative Commons, with plenty of laughs along the way.
The second, by Brian Chiu, is more of a promotional video, selling the idea of Creative Commons using only CC-licensed footage, and footage filmed by Brian himself.
We continue to be hugely impressed by the effort and skill shown by our students – great job all round!
